Say it before it's too late? Why is that so important?

Well, we have probably all experienced it. Someone you care about is no longer there, and then we all have the same regrets.

We really wish we had told them now much they meant to us - before it was too late. It's really common to feel that way, and if you Google 'what do people regret when they know they are going to die..?' you will see how often this theme is repeated.

A partilcularly relevant and interesting account was written by Bronnie Ware. Bronnie is a nurse who used to care for people with terminal illnesses and wrote an article entitled 'Regrets of the Dying'.

In the article she lists the five most common regrets:

1. I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me

2. I wish I hadn’t worked so hard.

3. I wish I’d had the courage to express my feelings

4. I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends

5. I wish that I had let myself be happier

It's not always easy to say what you feel - in fact, it can be quite difficult, and that is one reason why we often wait too long.

And that was one of my main motivations for creating Tributise - to give people a place to say the things that really matter. Before it's too late.

So why hold off - why not write that tribute now? Say what you feel and share the love. Try it, I am sure you will enjoy it!
